En tout, 47 militants pro-d\u00e9mocratie, accus\u00e9s de complot en vue de subversion, doivent \u00eatre jug\u00e9s prochainement. Ils risquent la prison \u00e0 vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parmi les raisons invoqu\u00e9es pour s\u2019\u00e9carter du syst\u00e8me juridique de \u00ab common law \u00bb h\u00e9rit\u00e9 des Britanniques, le nouveau ministre de la Justice de&nbsp;<strong>Hong Kong<\/strong>, Paul Lam, a cit\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois l\u2019implication d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments \u00e9trangers, dans un certificat dat\u00e9 du 13 ao\u00fbt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Autres raisons affich\u00e9es&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;<em>la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 personnelle des jur\u00e9s et des membres de leur famille<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb ainsi que \u00ab&nbsp;<em>le risque d&rsquo;influencer le cours de la justice si le proc\u00e8s se d\u00e9roule avec un jury<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb. C&rsquo;est ainsi que les 47 militants pro-d\u00e9mocratie seront jug\u00e9s lors d&rsquo;un proc\u00e8s sans jur\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 la place, le verdict sera rendu par trois juges tri\u00e9s sur le volet par le gouvernement. C\u2019est la deuxi\u00e8me fois qu\u2019une telle d\u00e9cision est prise dans le cadre d&rsquo;une affaire o\u00f9 s&rsquo;applique la&nbsp;<strong>loi sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nationale<\/strong>. Une loi qui fut impos\u00e9e par P\u00e9kin en 2020 pour faire taire la dissidence apr\u00e8s des protestations massives et parfois violentes en faveur de la d\u00e9mocratie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les 47 accus\u00e9s dans cette affaire pr\u00e9sentent des profils tr\u00e8s vari\u00e9s. On y trouve des repr\u00e9sentants \u00e9lus d\u00e9mocratiquement du Conseil l\u00e9gislatif de la ville, des syndicalistes, ou encore des universitaires.
