La MONUSCO apporte son appui aux FARDC et\u00a0intervient aussi dans la protection des civils d\u00e9plac\u00e9s et l\u2019\u00e9vacuation des personnes bless\u00e9es au front des combats entre l’arm\u00e9e congolaise et la r\u00e9bellion du M23. Le\u00a0g\u00e9n\u00e9ral Benoit\u00a0Chavannat, commandant adjoint des forces de la MONUSCO, a apport\u00e9 cette pr\u00e9cision dimanche 30 octobre \u00e0 Radio Okapi\u00a0:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Dans les circonstances actuelles, marqu\u00e9es par des affrontements arm\u00e9s sur le terrain et par une situation humanitaire tr\u00e8s d\u00e9t\u00e9rior\u00e9e et pr\u00e9occupante, la force de la MONUSCO agit dans le cadre de son mandat\u00a0\u00bb, a indiqu\u00e9 le   Chavannat, selon quatre axes principaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il a d\u2019abord \u00e9voqu\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0un appui direct aux FARDC, pour tenir des positions d\u00e9fensives, fournir des feux ripostes aux agressions ; ensuite en patrouillant le long de la route nationale num\u00e9ro deux principalement afin de r\u00e9tablir la circulation pour des besoins humanitaires depuis Goma jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Rutshuru mais aussi en accueillant les populations civiles vuln\u00e9rables pour assurer leur protection au sein et aux abords des bases de la MONUSCO\u00a0\u00bb.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le dernier axe consiste \u00e0 assurer un soutien et un traitement m\u00e9dical aux bless\u00e9s jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vacuation sanitaire des populations civiles, soldats, des forces de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 congolaises et des casques bleus\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
