Faisant partie des membres de la Communaut\u00e9 d’Afrique de l’Est (EAC), la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo (RDC) a foul\u00e9 aux pieds le 13e exercice de poste de commandement de l’EAC \u00ab\u00a0Ushirikiano Imara 2023\u00a0\u00bb litt\u00e9ralement \u00ab\u00a0partenariat solide\u00a0\u00bb, lanc\u00e9 le dimanche dernier, \u00e0 Musanze au Nord du Rwanda.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lanc\u00e9s par les d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s des forces arm\u00e9es, de la police et des civils des \u00c9tats membres de l’EAC, ces exercises vont se cl\u00f4turer le 30 juin, date de l’ind\u00e9pendance de la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo. Hormis ce pays cher \u00e0 Lumumba, les repr\u00e9sentants des cinq autres \u00c9tats membres de l\u2019EAC, notamment le Burundi, l\u2019Ouganda, le Kenya, le Rwanda, et la Tanzanie y prennent part.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 en croire Isaac Okware, porte-parole du contingent ougandais, l\u2019objectif de ces exercices est de renforcer les capacit\u00e9s r\u00e9gionales en mati\u00e8re de lutte contre le terrorisme et de maintien de la paix. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La RDC a rejoint l\u2019EAC en tant que septi\u00e8me membre en mars 2022. Fond\u00e9e en 2000, cette communaut\u00e9 a notamment pour but de faciliter le commerce transfrontalier en supprimant les droits de douane entre ses \u00c9tats membres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
