{"id":51294,"date":"2023-11-06T09:13:29","date_gmt":"2023-11-06T08:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/congopubonline.com\/?p=51294"},"modified":"2023-11-06T09:13:38","modified_gmt":"2023-11-06T08:13:38","slug":"le-complexe-cuprifere-kamoa-kakula-emet-le-moins-de-carbone-au-monde-etude","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/congopubonline.com\/?p=51294","title":{"rendered":"le complexe cuprif\u00e8re Kamoa-Kakula \u00e9met le moins de carbone au monde (\u00e9tude)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ivanhoe-mines-a-annonce-une-evaluation-actualisee-des-gaz-a-effet-de-serre-confirmant-que-le-complexe-cuprifere-de-kamoa-kakula-est-la-mine-de-cuivre-majeure-emettant-le-moins-de-carbone-au-monde\">Ivanhoe Mines a annonc\u00e9 une \u00e9valuation actualis\u00e9e des gaz \u00e0 effet de serre confirmant que le complexe cuprif\u00e8re de Kamoa-Kakula est la mine de cuivre majeure \u00e9mettant le moins de carbone au monde.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans un communiqu\u00e9 publi\u00e9 le jeudi 2 novembre 2023, Ivanhoe Mines a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 que cette \u00e9valuation devrait tracer la voie vers \u00ab z\u00e9ro \u00e9mission nette \u00bb afin de consolider les acquis des efforts environnementaux d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s dans ce sens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019issue des travaux en cours, les \u00e9missions de carbone de Kamoa-Kakula par unit\u00e9 de cuivre (scopes 1, 2 et 3) devraient \u00eatre r\u00e9duites de 46 % apr\u00e8s l\u2019ach\u00e8vement de la fonderie sur site de 500.000 tonnes par an \u00e0 partir du quatri\u00e8me trimestre 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le m\u00eame ordre d\u2019id\u00e9es, une fonderie de cuivre de pointe devrait se classer au quatri\u00e8me rang des fonderies les moins \u00e9mettrices de carbone au monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ainsi, l\u2019\u00e9valuation annonc\u00e9e mettra en \u00e9vidence la r\u00e9duction significative de l\u2019intensit\u00e9 combin\u00e9e des \u00e9missions de GES des scopes 1, 2 et 3 suite \u00e0 l\u2019ach\u00e8vement de la fonderie de cuivre sous blister pr\u00e9vue au quatri\u00e8me trimestre 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sur ce dernier aspect des choses, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Ivanhoe Mines est \u00e9galement heureuse d\u2019annoncer que la remise \u00e0 neuf de la turbine n\u00b05 de la Centrale hydro\u00e9lectrique Inga II est achev\u00e9e \u00e0 environ 50 % et avance dans les d\u00e9lais budg\u00e9taires pr\u00e9vus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 cet effet, la turbine n\u00b05 produira 178 MW d\u2019\u00e9nergie hydro\u00e9lectrique propre sur le r\u00e9seau de la RDC apr\u00e8s son ach\u00e8vement au quatri\u00e8me trimestre 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il sied d\u2019indiquer que l\u2019\u00e9valuation mise \u00e0 jour des \u00e9missions de GES r\u00e9cemment r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par Skarn Associates et le Groupe WSP confirme qu\u2019en 2022, Kamoa-Kakula a produit l\u2019une des \u00e9missions de carbone par unit\u00e9 de cuivre les plus faibles au monde, et la plus faible de toutes les grandes mines de cuivre. Cela est d\u00fb, selon les experts associ\u00e9s lors des travaux, en partie aux gisements \u00e0 teneur incroyablement \u00e9lev\u00e9e de Kamoa-Kakula, avec un minerai broy\u00e9 \u00e0 une teneur moyenne de 5,5 % en 2022, soit environ dix fois sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la teneur moyenne estim\u00e9e en cuivre de t\u00eate \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale de 0,6 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4
