Michelangelo Vitaliani, \u00ab&nbsp;Mimo&nbsp;\u00bb, est le fils d\u2019un sculpteur d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 pendant la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale, et envoy\u00e9 par sa m\u00e8re en Italie, sur le plateau de Pietra d\u2019Alba, chez un oncle. Ce dernier, un sculpteur sans talent, exploite \u00ab&nbsp;Mimo&nbsp;\u00bb sans piti\u00e9. \u00c0 cause de ses grandes capacit\u00e9s artistiques, Mimo se retrouve en charge de la r\u00e9novationr du ch\u00e2teau de la famille Orsini qui r\u00e8gne sur la r\u00e9gion. Il y croise Viola, la fille unique de la famille r\u00e9gnante.&nbsp;Pour les deux enfants que tout s\u00e9pare, c&rsquo;est une rencontre d\u00e9cisive, existentielle.
