Il \u00e9tait aux commandes dans la r\u00e9gion d&rsquo;Idleb, dernier bastion rebelle de Syrie.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un des chefs jihadistes historiques du dernier bastion rebelle de&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/fr\/tag\/syrie\/\">Syrie<\/a>, Abu Maria al-Qahtani, cofondateur du Front al-Nosra, a \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9 dans un attentat suicide, ont annonc\u00e9 vendredi 5 avril son organisation et l&rsquo;Observatoire syrien des droits de l&rsquo;Homme (OSDH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le groupe Hayat Tahrir al-Cham (HTS) dont il \u00e9tait membre, aux commandes dans la r\u00e9gion rebelle d&rsquo;Idleb (nord-ouest), a imput\u00e9 l&rsquo;assassinat au groupe jihadiste concurrent \u00c9tat Islamique (EI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al-Qahtani \u00ab\u00a0a p\u00e9ri en martyr dans une l\u00e2che attaque men\u00e9e par un membre de l&rsquo;EI \u00e9quip\u00e9 d&rsquo;une ceinture explosive\u00a0\u00bb, \u00e0 Sarmada, au nord d&rsquo;Idleb, a indiqu\u00e9 le site d&rsquo;information de HTS, Amjad.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;OSDH, une ONG qui dispose d&rsquo;un vaste r\u00e9seau de sources en Syrie, a confirm\u00e9 cet attentat, sans toutefois se prononcer sur son origine. L&rsquo;attaque n&rsquo;a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 revendiqu\u00e9e \u00e0 ce stade. Deux personnes qui accompagnaient al-Qahtani ont \u00e9t\u00e9 gri\u00e8vement bless\u00e9s dans l&rsquo;explosion, selon l&rsquo;OSDH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-normal-font-size\" id=\"h-aile-moderee\">Aile \u00ab\u00a0mod\u00e9r\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al-Qahtani avait \u00e9t\u00e9 lib\u00e9r\u00e9 le 7 mars de prison, o\u00f9 il avait pass\u00e9 sept mois pour \u00ab\u00a0trahison\u00a0\u00bb, avant d&rsquo;\u00eatre blanchi par le HTS et lib\u00e9r\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N\u00e9 en 1976 en Irak, Al-Qahtani, de son vrai nom Maysar Ali Musa Abdallah al-Juburi, figurait depuis 2012 sur la liste des personnes sanctionn\u00e9es par les \u00c9tats-Unis pour ses liens avec le groupe&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/fr\/tag\/al-qa%C3%AFda\/\">Al-Qa\u00efda<\/a>, dont le Front Al-Nosra, devenu plus tard HTS, \u00e9tait l&rsquo;\u00e9manation en Syrie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il figurait \u00e9galement depuis 2014 sur la liste des sanctions du Conseil de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des Nations unies, selon qui il avait \u00ab\u00a0quitt\u00e9 Mossoul (Irak) pour rejoindre la Syrie en 2011\u00a0\u00bb afin \u00ab\u00a0d\u2019amener l\u2019id\u00e9ologie d\u2019Al-Qa\u00efda\u00a0\u00bb dans ce pays.
