La R\u00e9publique D\u00e9mocratique du Congo franchit un cap important dans sa lutte contre le paludisme avec le projet de cr\u00e9ation d’une usine de fabrication locale de moustiquaires impr\u00e9gn\u00e9es<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lors d’une r\u00e9union strat\u00e9gique tenue ce mardi 1er mars \u00e0 Kinshasa les ministres de la Sant\u00e9 Roger Kamba et de l’Industrie Louis Wartum ont examin\u00e9 avec l’\u00e9quipe de Boston Consulting les modalit\u00e9s de ce projet ambitieux qui transformera radicalement l’approche congolaise contre cette maladie<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avec une capacit\u00e9 de production annuelle estim\u00e9e \u00e0 30 millions de moustiquaires soit pr\u00e8s de 15% de la production mondiale cette usine positionnera la RDC comme acteur cl\u00e9 dans la lutte antipaludique<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au-del\u00e0 de l’impact sanitaire majeur escompt\u00e9 ce projet stimulera l’\u00e9conomie nationale en r\u00e9duisant les co\u00fbts d’importation tout en cr\u00e9ant des milliers d’emplois directs et indirects dans divers secteurs connexes comme le textile les plastiques et les produits chimiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthieu Lamiaux directeur chez Boston Consulting a soulign\u00e9 lors des discussions que \u00ab\u00a0produire localement permettra non seulement de mieux combattre le paludisme mais aussi de renforcer durablement les capacit\u00e9s industrielles du pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les ministres concern\u00e9s ont salu\u00e9 cette initiative qui s’inscrit parfaitement dans la strat\u00e9gie nationale visant l’\u00e9limination du paludisme d’ici 2030 tout en contribuant au d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique global de la nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les prochaines \u00e9tapes consisteront \u00e0 finaliser le plan d’investissement et \u00e0 identifier les sites d’implantation les plus adapt\u00e9s pour cette usine qui marquera un tournant dans la sant\u00e9 publique congolaise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
