La basilique Saint-Paul-hors-les-Murs \u00e0 Rome a accueilli la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie solennelle de b\u00e9atification de Floribert Bwana Chui, ce jeune cadre de l&rsquo;Office Congolais de Contr\u00f4le assassin\u00e9 en 2007 \u00e0 Goma pour avoir refus\u00e9 de compromettre son int\u00e9grit\u00e9 professionnelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La messe de b\u00e9atification, pr\u00e9sid\u00e9e par les plus hautes autorit\u00e9s eccl\u00e9siastiques, a rassembl\u00e9 une foule impressionnante venue du monde entier, avec une forte repr\u00e9sentation congolaise. Parmi les personnalit\u00e9s pr\u00e9sentes figuraient plusieurs membres du gouvernement congolais, dont la ministre des Droits Humains Me Chantal Chambu Mwavita qui conduisait la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation officielle, la ministre des Affaires sociales Nathalie-Aziza Munana, ainsi que le ministre de la Communication Patrick Muyaya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Floribert Bwana Chui, alors \u00e2g\u00e9 de seulement 26 ans, avait pay\u00e9 de sa vie son refus cat\u00e9gorique de laisser passer des denr\u00e9es alimentaires avari\u00e9es \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re de Goma, malgr\u00e9 les pressions et menaces. Son assassinat le 7 juillet 2007 avait profond\u00e9ment \u00e9mu la nation congolaise et au-del\u00e0. Dix-huit ans plus tard, l&rsquo;\u00c9glise catholique reconna\u00eet officiellement son martyre et l&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e8ve au rang de bienheureux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plusieurs membres du gouvernement ont exprim\u00e9 leur \u00e9motion et l&rsquo;importance de ce moment historique. Le ministre Patrick Muyaya a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 honor\u00e9 d&rsquo;assister \u00e0 cette b\u00e9atification, qualifiant Floribert de \u00ab\u00a0martyr de notre temps dont le sacrifice doit inspirer r\u00e9sistance et lutte implacable contre la corruption\u00a0\u00bb. De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, le ministre du Commerce ext\u00e9rieur Julien Paluku a soulign\u00e9 dans un message sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux que ce cas devenait \u00ab\u00a0un cas d&rsquo;\u00e9cole pour la jeunesse appel\u00e9e \u00e0 diriger la RDC\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le cardinal Ambongo, pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie, a pour sa part insist\u00e9 sur la port\u00e9e spirituelle et sociale de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, y voyant \u00ab\u00a0un appel aux fid\u00e8les catholiques congolais \u00e0 un engagement en faveur de la transparence dans la gestion de la chose publique\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette b\u00e9atification rev\u00eat une signification particuli\u00e8re car elle intervient \u00e0 la veille de la Journ\u00e9e de l&rsquo;enfant africain comm\u00e9mor\u00e9e chaque 16 juin. Cette co\u00efncidence calendaire cr\u00e9e un puissant symbole, faisant de Floribert Bwana Chui un mod\u00e8le pour la jeunesse africaine confront\u00e9e aux d\u00e9fis de la corruption et de la mauvaise gouvernance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les c\u00e9l\u00e9brations se sont poursuivies le lendemain avec une messe d&rsquo;action de gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la Basilique des XII Ap\u00f4tres \u00e0 Rome, organis\u00e9e par l&rsquo;aum\u00f4nerie catholique congolaise en Italie.
