De violents affrontements ont \u00e9clat\u00e9 ce samedi dans l\u2019agglom\u00e9ration de Birambizo, situ\u00e9e dans le groupement Bukombo (territoire de Rutshuru, Nord-Kivu), opposant les rebelles du M23 aux combattants des Volontaires pour la d\u00e9fense de la patrie – Coalition des mouvements pour le changement (VDP-CMC), une milice dirig\u00e9e par le g\u00e9n\u00e9ral autoproclam\u00e9 Dominique Ndaruhutse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon des sources locales, les combats, particuli\u00e8rement intenses, ont provoqu\u00e9 un mouvement massif de populations civiles fuyant vers des zones encore \u00e9pargn\u00e9es par les violences. \u00ab\u00a0Des familles enti\u00e8res se d\u00e9placent dans la panique, cherchant refuge l\u00e0 o\u00f9 les tirs ne r\u00e9sonnent pas\u00a0\u00bb, t\u00e9moigne un habitant contact\u00e9 par t\u00e9l\u00e9phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un cessez-le-feu fragile d\u00e9j\u00e0 rompu ?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ces nouveaux combats interviennent moins de 24 heures apr\u00e8s la signature d\u2019un accord de paix historique entre la RDC et le Rwanda \u00e0 Washington, sous m\u00e9diation am\u00e9ricaine. Bien que cet accord vise \u00e0 apaiser les tensions dans l\u2019est de la RDC, dont le Nord-Kivu est l\u2019\u00e9picentre des conflits, la situation sur le terrain reste explosive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le M23, un groupe rebelle accus\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre soutenu par le Rwanda \u2013 ce que Kigali d\u00e9ment \u2013, multiplie ses offensives malgr\u00e9 les appels au calme. Face \u00e0 eux, les VDP-CMC, une coalition de milices locales, r\u00e9sistent tant bien que mal, dans un contexte o\u00f9 l\u2019arm\u00e9e congolaise (FARDC) peine \u00e0 r\u00e9tablir son contr\u00f4le sur toute la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crise humanitaire aggrav\u00e9e<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Les organisations humanitaires sur place s\u2019inqui\u00e8tent d\u2019une nouvelle vague de d\u00e9plac\u00e9s dans une zone d\u00e9j\u00e0 sinistr\u00e9e par des ann\u00e9es de conflits. \u00ab\u00a0Les routes sont bond\u00e9es de civils marchant vers Goma ou d\u2019autres localit\u00e9s plus s\u00fbres. Beaucoup n\u2019ont rien emport\u00e9 et manquent de tout\u00a0\u00bb, alerte un travailleur humanitaire sous couvert d\u2019anonymat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette r\u00e9surgence des violences soul\u00e8ve des questions sur l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 imm\u00e9diate de l\u2019accord RDC-Rwanda, alors que les groupes arm\u00e9s semblent ignorer les dynamiques diplomatiques en cours. Les prochains jours seront cruciaux pour observer si les bellig\u00e9rants respecteront ou non les engagements pris \u00e0 Washington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
