La Haute Cour militaire a tenu ce vendredi sa premi\u00e8re audience dans le cadre du proc\u00e8s exceptionnel intent\u00e9 contre l’ancien pr\u00e9sident Joseph Kabila. Cette s\u00e9ance inaugurale, charg\u00e9e d’\u00e9motion et de symbolisme, marque un moment sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent dans l’histoire judiciaire congolaise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La Cour a ouvert les d\u00e9bats en confirmant sa comp\u00e9tence pour instruire ce dossier sensible, avant d’enregistrer la constitution de partie civile d\u00e9pos\u00e9e par les repr\u00e9sentants de l’\u00c9tat congolais. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Les avocats de la partie civile ont imm\u00e9diatement sollicit\u00e9 un d\u00e9lai suppl\u00e9mentaire pour examiner minutieusement les pi\u00e8ces du dossier et pr\u00e9parer leur argumentation, requ\u00eate que la Cour a accord\u00e9e en fixant la prochaine audience au 31 juillet prochain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
L’\u00e9l\u00e9ment le plus marquant de cette journ\u00e9e fut l’absence notable de Joseph Kabila lui-m\u00eame. L’ancien chef d’\u00c9tat, vis\u00e9 par un acte d’accusation particuli\u00e8rement lourd comprenant des charges de trahison, crimes contre l’humanit\u00e9 et occupation arm\u00e9e de Goma, n’a fourni aucune justification officielle \u00e0 son d\u00e9faut de comparution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Le minist\u00e8re public a n\u00e9anmoins poursuivi la proc\u00e9dure en donnant lecture publique des chefs d’accusation, confirmant ainsi la r\u00e9gularit\u00e9 du processus judiciaire enclench\u00e9 apr\u00e8s l’injonction du ministre de la Justice et le r\u00e9quisitoire du procureur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral valid\u00e9 par le S\u00e9nat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
