\u00ab Malgr\u00e9 tout ce que nous avons r\u00e9ussi, je ne peux pas continuer ma campagne pour ma r\u00e9\u00e9lection<\/em> \u00bb, a dit Eric Adams, qui se pr\u00e9sentait en ind\u00e9pendant, mais dont les chances \u00e9taient tr\u00e8s faibles, apr\u00e8s notamment des accusations de corruption, dans une vid\u00e9o post\u00e9e sur X. \u00ab J’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 accus\u00e9 \u00e0 tort parce que je me suis battu pour cette ville <\/em>[…] les sp\u00e9culations m\u00e9diatiques constantes sur mon avenir et la d\u00e9cision du conseil de financement de la campagne de retenir des millions de dollars ont sap\u00e9 ma capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 lever les fonds n\u00e9cessaires pour une campagne s\u00e9rieuse <\/em>\u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’\u00e9dile d\u00e9mocrate a assur\u00e9 pendant des mois que ses d\u00e9m\u00eal\u00e9s judiciaires \u00e9taient dus \u00e0 ses d\u00e9saccords sur l’immigration avec le pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent pr\u00e9sident Joe Biden<\/a><\/strong>, et a op\u00e9r\u00e9 un rapprochement avec l’administration du pr\u00e9sident Donald Trump<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En f\u00e9vrier, le minist\u00e8re de la Justice a ordonn\u00e9 aux procureurs d’annuler son inculpation. En avril, Eric Adams avait annonc\u00e9 briguer un second mandat sous l’\u00e9tiquette d’ind\u00e9pendant pour contourner la primaire d\u00e9mocrate, remport\u00e9e par Zohran Mamdani<\/a><\/strong>, 33 ans, face \u00e0 Andrew Cuomo, 67 ans, ex-gouverneur de New York. Mais, depuis plusieurs semaines, les m\u00e9dias am\u00e9ricains \u00e9voquaient des discussions entre l’\u00e9lu et l’administration Trump pour que celui-ci se d\u00e9siste au profit d’Andrew Cuomo, lui aussi candidat ind\u00e9pendant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
