Le gouvernement de la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo a estim\u00e9 \u00e0 188,47 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains le budget n\u00e9cessaire pour organiser son premier recensement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la population depuis 1984.. Ce budget doit permettre de r\u00e9aliser le premier recensement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la population depuis 1984, mettant fin \u00e0 quatre d\u00e9cennies d’incertitude d\u00e9mographique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’annonce, faite en Conseil des ministres, r\u00e9v\u00e8le une feuille de route ambitieuse (3,3 mois) et un engagement des partenaires internationaux. Mais au-del\u00e0 des chiffres, ce projet est un imp\u00e9ratif de gouvernance. Sans donn\u00e9es fiables, la planification du d\u00e9veloppement, l’allocation des ressources pour la sant\u00e9, l’\u00e9ducation ou m\u00eame la d\u00e9limitation des circonscriptions \u00e9lectorales reposent sur des estimations fragiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’information a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par la Premi\u00e8re ministre lors du 67e Conseil des ministres, selon le porte-parole du gouvernement, Patrick Muyaya. L’op\u00e9ration, strat\u00e9gique pour la feuille de route 2027, s’\u00e9talerait sur environ 3,3 mois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les partenaires techniques et financiers, dont la BAD et la Banque mondiale, ont r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 leur disponibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 accompagner le processus. Le dernier recensement scientifique en RDC remonte \u00e0 juillet 1984, \u00e9valuant alors la population \u00e0 29,7 millions d’habitants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La mobilisation des minist\u00e8res de la D\u00e9fense, de la Sant\u00e9 et du Plan, ordonn\u00e9e par le Chef de l’\u00c9tat, souligne l’ampleur logistique et s\u00e9curitaire du d\u00e9fi. R\u00e9ussir ce recensement, c’est offrir \u00e0 la RDC une photographie pr\u00e9cise de sa soci\u00e9t\u00e9, un outil indispensable pour construire son avenir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
