La commission leur reproche de ne pas s\u2019\u00eatre rendus \u00e0 une audition dans le cadre d\u2019une enqu\u00eate parlementaire sur l\u2019affaire Epstein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Une commission du Congr\u00e8s am\u00e9ricain a vot\u00e9, mercredi 21 janvier, pour lancer une proc\u00e9dure contre Bill et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rfi.fr\/fr\/tag\/hillary-clinton\/\"><strong>Hillary Clinton<\/strong><\/a>, accus\u00e9s d&rsquo;entrave au Congr\u00e8s pour avoir refus\u00e9 de se pr\u00e9senter \u00e0 une audition dans le cadre d&rsquo;une enqu\u00eate parlementaire sur l&rsquo;affaire Epstein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La semaine derni\u00e8re, malgr\u00e9 une assignation \u00e0 compara\u00eetre, Bill et Hillary Clinton s\u2019\u00e9taient justifi\u00e9s estimant que cette assignation n\u2019\u00e9tait pas juridiquement valide et qu\u2019ils avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 essay\u00e9 de leur donner \u00ab<em>&nbsp;le peu d\u2019information<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb qu\u2019ils avaient, rapporte notre correspondant \u00e0 Atlanta, <strong>Edward Maille<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans une lettre au ton acerbe, le couple avait annonc\u00e9 son refus de se pr\u00e9senter aux auditions, accusant le chef de la commission, le r\u00e9publicain James Comer, de s&rsquo;attaquer \u00e0 des opposants politiques plut\u00f4t que de vouloir chercher la v\u00e9rit\u00e9. \u00ab&nbsp;<em>Nous avons essay\u00e9 de vous donner le peu d&rsquo;informations que nous avons. Nous l&rsquo;avons fait parce que les crimes de M. Epstein \u00e9taient horribles&nbsp;<\/em>\u00bb, affirment-ils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-jusqu-a-un-an-de-prison\">Jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 un an de prison<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D\u00e9sormais, apr\u00e8s le vote de la commission, il revient \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble des \u00e9lus de la Chambre des repr\u00e9sentants de se prononcer et si cela est act\u00e9, les \u00e9lus recommanderont au d\u00e9partement de la Justice d\u2019ouvrir une enqu\u00eate pour entrave au Congr\u00e8s auquel cas, les Clinton encourraient jusqu\u2019\u00e0 un an de prison. Une proc\u00e9dure pour formellement les inculper devra ensuite \u00eatre initi\u00e9e par le minist\u00e8re de la Justice, avec \u00e0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rfi.fr\/fr\/am\u00e9riques\/20241121-\u00e9tats-unis-matt-gaetz-renonce-au-d\u00e9partement-de-la-justice-de-la-prochaine-administration-trump\"><strong>sa t\u00eate Pam Bondi<\/strong><\/a>, une fid\u00e8le de Donald Trump.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le chef de la commission, le r\u00e9publicain James Comer, se dit confiant qu\u2019il aura les voix n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 la fois gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la majorit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9lus r\u00e9publicains mais aussi avec des d\u00e9mocrates.&nbsp;Car des \u00e9lus de l\u2019opposition dans la commission ont vot\u00e9 pour cette premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape de la proc\u00e9dure soulignant les divisions au sein des d\u00e9mocrates sur cette affaire.
